New CFO of Energi Danmark

The energy trading group Energi Danmark is introducing a new CFO. The group has chosen Søren Lindgaard, who comes from a position as Group CFO of the investment and development company Obton Group, which, among other things, is engaged in solar energy and battery storage projects, and which has had FSN among its owners since 2020.

“I am pleased to have Søren Lindgaard join the management of Energi Danmark. He has the profile and experience needed to drive the development that Energi Danmark is facing,” says Louise Hahn, CEO of Energi Danmark.

Søren Lindgaard joined Obton Group at the beginning of 2020 and has thus acquired thorough knowledge of the energy sector over the past four to five years.

We have customers across the Nordics and trading activities across Europe, which contribute to efficient energy markets, the green transition and security of supply in the European energy markets. In cooperation with the rest of the Management Team and all our talented colleagues, Søren will play an important role in the further development of Energi Danmark for the benefit of our customers, owners and society,” says Louise Hahn.

Clear focus areas

Søren Lindgaard has the following to say about his new job with Energi Danmark:

“I look forward to becoming part of Energi Danmark and supporting the direction that Louise, the board and the rest of the Management Team have set for Energi Danmark. As CFO, I look forward to focusing on transparency, optimisation of liquidity and earnings with the rest of the organisation and not least continuing our work on creating ‘best in class’ liquidity and risk management with Jonas Brandt, Energi Danmark’s Chief Risk Officer.”

Søren Lindgaard has previously been the CFO of the Lego Group, Kirk Kapital and ID Design (Ilva and Idé Møbler), owned by Axcel. He has also been a board member in several other companies.

Replaces Ole Joachim Jensen

Søren Lindgaard takes over as CFO of Energi Danmark after Ole Joachim Jensen, who for health reasons no longer wants to work full-time. However, Ole Joachim Jensen will continue to work for Energi Danmark, now taking on an advisory role.

“We are very grateful to Ole for his efforts and his contribution to Energi Danmark. I am of course pleased that he will continue to contribute with his knowledge and experience. But I also fully understand his decision and intention to work less,” says Louise Hahn.

Energi Danmark is owned by the two cooperative societies Andel and NRGi.
